Nyesom Wike, a Federal Capital Territory Minister, and others took the oath of office at the swearing-in ceremony on Monday at the Presidential Villa. Shortly after that, Nyesom Wike addressed the media at his first press conference after taking office.

When a journalist from ThisDay asks the minister for the Federal Capital Territory if he follows trends, the incumbent minister often waves the winning party’s flag, in this case the APC. Which one are you going to flag in your own instance then?

In response, Wike stated, “So the FCT problem is about flags. We are discussing ways to repair FCT, upgrade the infrastructure, and sterilize the area. Which flag to fly is your own concern. Bring it, even if it is the flag of the entire globe.

Why are we focusing on the flag? Bring the APC, PDP, or Labour Party; if that’s the issue, I’ll utilize them. He’s there to appease Nigerians, serve the FCT, and fulfill the President’s pledges to the residents of the FCT.…… Continue Your Reading
