Adeboye continued, “I’ve already told you about my first trip to Canada in 1975 or 1976 for a World Conference of Applied Mathematicians. May was the relevant month. Canada has extreme cold in May. We traveled from all over the world, there was a large line to register, and I felt uneasy. The person in charge of registration suddenly got up from her table and started moving down the line. She halted when she reached me. (I told her) “Hello, where are you from? (I asked her) “What’s your name? She made a U-turn. She returned a little while later bearing a package of sandwiches and a large cup of extremely hot tea. I drank the tea and devoured the bread without turning to face anyone. She returned just as I was finishing the tea. She had gone back to complete my registration and given me a guide to take me to my accommodations.

Adeboye said to his followers, “To you it may not signify much, it was my first trip outside of Africa. God chose me out of all the individuals for special care despite the fact that I didn’t know anyone there. In the great name of Jesus, I declare to someone present today that God will single you out for particular favor. He concluded by saying, “God granted Hannah a son, not just any son, but one of the greatest prophets in the Old Testament, along with 5 other offspring.
