According to Datti Baba-Ahmed, the Labour Party got the highest number of votes in the 2023 presidential election. He stated that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, announced that the Labour Party got 6 million votes, however, the Labour Party has done its calculation and found out that they got around 8 million votes.

Datti Baba-Ahmed went on to say that it is wrong for INEC to announce that APC got over 8 million votes because APC got around 6 million votes. Datti Baba-Ahmed also revealed that the issue is part of what the Labour Party’s legal team is handling at the moment.
Datti Baba-Ahmed said that the certificate of return that has been given to Bola Tinubu is unconstitutional and it may lead to Constitutional crisis.
