Remember that the LP and Peter Obi, its presidential candidate, provided the court with additional documents as proof? The majority of the documents were results sheets and reports from INEC on how the presidential election was conducted. In an interview with AIT, Akeregha responded to this by stating that Nigerians are already supporting Tinubu’s presidency more and that there may be risk if the opposition’s proof is powerful enough to startle people.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) botched up the 2023 general elections by failing to conduct the best election ever as promised, despite all of their promises. The pro-people policies of President Bola Tinubu’s administration are winning over many Nigerians, who are now more in favor of it. There is significant risk inherent in the type of evidence that the LP and PDP are front-loading before the tribunal.
