He claims Sterling has accomplished “nothing” during the previous two years. Remember that on the day of the transfer deadline, Arsenal signed the 29-year-old from Chelsea on a loan.
Hislop, speaking on ESPN, feels that Sterling is not an adequate substitute for Bukayo Saka at Arsenal. “I genuinely don’t get this, I have to admit. Raheem Sterling has done nothing in the past two years to suggest that he improves Arsenal in any way, even as a squad player, according to Hislop.
“I understand that Arsenal wants bodies and pedigree, and they find that in Raheem Sterling,” Hislop added. “I find that a lot of money to pay for a player who doesn’t make you better, especially if we are talking about a £20 million package or £150,000 a week for a player who is there to cover Saka, give him a break, and maybe add some experience to a dressing room.”CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
