Tinubu’s alleged drug case against Dino and the PDP is without merit and without foundation, Reveal by NDLEA

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has filed a preliminary objection to a suit submitted by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and Dino Malaye against the president-elect, Bola Tinubu. CONTINUE READING………

According to The Punch Newspaper, the applicants (Dino Malaye and PDP) are seeking an order of mandamus that compels the NDLEA to arrest and prosecute Tinubu over the alleged forfeiture of some amount of money in his banks in the United state.

However, the agency via its Director of Prosecution and Legal Services, Joseph Sunday submitted that the suit was incompetent stating that the motive for the suit is political and not in line with the uses of an order of mandamus.

Furthermore, Chia Depunn (a litigation officer attached to the Directorate of Prosecution and Legal Services, NDLEA) claims “that the name of Tinubu had also not featured in the radar and database of the agency as a person arrested, investigated, or prosecuted in connection with drug or other related offences”.
