South African musician, Costa Tsobanoglou, better known as Costa Titch is dead.

Reports obtained by Naija News on Sunday morning (today) revealed that the 27-year-old rapper slumped and died while performing on stage.

Costa Titch was live at the Ultra music festival from Saturday midnight through Sunday morning, March 12, 2023, when he suddenly collapsed.

The devastating news of Costa Titch’s death was confirmed on social media by entertainment commentator, Phil Mphela, via his verified Twitter page just before midnight and was followed by a string of somber reactions from industry colleagues.

Costa Titch colleagues in the South African music industry, Junior Da Rocka, and Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader, Julius Malema, have also confirmed the saddening development.

The deceased rapper and dancer was born in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga, in 1995 and is known for several hits, including Nkalakatha and Activate.

Naija News understands that the passing of Costa Titch comes as music fans are still mourning the loss of fellow rapper AKA, whose real name was Kiernan Forbes.

He was shot outside of a restaurant in Durban by unknown hitmen and the South African Police Service (SAPS) is still investigating the case. Interestingly, both Costa Titch and AKA have collaborated on a song called Super Soft.
