Speaking during the Sokoto State Community Guard Corps passing out ceremony, a religious leader emphasized the seriousness of the situation and urged religious leaders to look at these problems together and consider possible solutions. He emphasized the necessity of prompt and coordinated actions to confront the situation’s growing severity.
He said in a speech reported by Channels TV, ”It is important for us to talk about insecurity and how do we overcome insecurity. But it’s also important for us to look at what caused the insecurity in the first place and deal with such issues. Can we continue to use force in trying to bring security to our people? Because it’s confusing to everybody.
Somebody who claims to be a good Muslim or a good Christian will pick up arms and kill people. And then claim that he’s doing so in the name of God and he will enter paradise. Definitely, you will not enter paradise because almighty Allah said to kill a soul is like taking the life of all humanity. So you can’t kill anybody unjustly.
