Seven lives lost to inferno in February 2025 – Kano Fire Service

Fire incidents across Kano State claimed seven lives in February 2025, according to the Kano State Fire Service.

Despite efforts by emergency responders, properties worth ₦50,318,000 were destroyed during the month. However, the service successfully saved ₦180,318,000 worth of properties and rescued seven individuals.

A statement issued by the service Public Relations Officer, PRO, Saminu Yusuf Abdullahi on Wednesday, said it responded to 77 fire incidents, 11 rescue operations, and 3 false alarms across the state.

The agency continues to urge residents to exercise caution when handling fire to prevent further tragedies.

Motorists are also advised to drive carefully and obey traffic regulations, particularly on highways to minimize accidents.
