He clarified that each of the 23 local governments in Rivers State will receive direct allocations from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) into their individual accounts.
He stressed that this new arrangement will ensure timely salary payments and allow local governments to manage their affairs more effectively.
However, he raised concerns that the state government is trying to undermine this autonomy by creating unnecessary obstacles.
In Samuel Nwanosike’s words in a video(11:50), he said, “We have been running our local government by our appropriation but now there will be no hindrance due to the Supreme Court ruling. We will open an account with CBN and the money will go directly to the 23 LG in Rivers State.
