Nonetheless, he emphasized the significance of strict laws limiting the ownership of firearms and pushed for policies that would guarantee that only law-abiding individuals with clean records are allowed to carry guns.
Omokri welcomed initiatives proposed by the Tinubu administration, particularly the exploration of establishing state police forces. Drawing on global examples of successful state and community policing models, such as New York City’s approach under Mayor Giuliani, he highlighted the effectiveness of such measures in combating crime and terrorism.
In his closing remarks, Omokri extended solidarity to the families of the abducted children and urged the Kaduna State Government to collaborate closely with the Federal Government to expedite efforts aimed at rescuing and reuniting the abducted pupils with their families.
