Recall that since Eritrea’s independence in 1993, former liberation fighter Isais Afwerki has served as its president. The National Assembly of Eritrea chose Isaias as its new leader.
“If the President of Eritrea is not careful and sensitive enough, I see him being removed,” said Primate Elijah Ayodele. The President should be ready for conflict if he does not restore democracy. And when danger does arise, it will seize control of his administration. Let him begin rounding up to vacate that presidential office or prepare for the impending trouble for democracy.
