It is customary for a player to commit a foul in order to impede the opponent’s advancement. Typically, events like these result in yellow or red cards.
So, which players have been dismissed from the current Premier League 2023/2024 season?
One is Anass Zaroury
The first player to be sent off in the 2023–2024 Premier League season was Anass Zaroury. During Burnley’s game against Manchester City in the first week, the referee dismissed him.
Zaroury played against Manchester City in his first Premier League game. Zaroury, who entered the game in the 61st, committed a critical error in injury time.
He received a straight red card as a result of his strong tackle on Kyle Walker. Zaroury had to see Burnley lose 0-3 at home in addition to getting sent off.
Tim Ream 2.
Tim Ream, a defender for Fulham, got the start against Brentford in the second week of the 2023/2023 Premier League campaign. In that contest, he even served as team captain.
Ream was forced to leave the game early, though. After receiving two yellow cards for a foul inside the penalty area on Yoane Wissa, he was sent the red card.
Due to that foul, Fulham also received a penalty kick as a consequence. The team played under Marco Silva, but ultimately lost 3-0 at Craven Cottage.
Matheus Nunes 3.
During their match against Brighton in Week 2 of the Premier League 2023/2024 season, Wolverhampton was soundly defeated. They suffered a 1-4 loss at Molineux.
Wolves had to play the rest of the game with just 10 players in addition to the defeat. In this game, Matheus Nunes was given the red card.
In the exact 90+5th minute of injury time, Nunes was dismissed by the referee. Due to his violent behavior toward a Brighton player, he was given a second yellow card.
Alexis MacAllister 4.
For Liverpool, Alexis Mac Allister made his debut against Bournemouth at Anfield. The member of the Argentine national team, however, was forced to leave the field too soon.
In the 63rd minute, Mac Allister was given a straight red card. He was fired at the time for his tackle on Ryan Christie of Bournemouth.
The loss of Mac Allister had little effect on Liverpool’s contest. They were successful in winning the game 3-1.
Nayef Aguerd 5.
In the second week of the Premier League 2023/2024 season, West Ham defeated Chelsea 3-1. In the seventh minute, Nayef Aguerd scored the first goal for The Hammers.
Aguerd, however, didn’t enter the game until the 67th minute. Due to receiving a red card, the Moroccan player was forced to leave the game early.
After tackling Nicolas Jackson, Aguerd was given a second yellow and then a red card. Thankfully, West Ham continued to play well when Aguerd left.…… Continue Your Reading
