Peter Obi learned that he received more than 582,454 votes in Lagos-Bwala from us, the PDPIf the court decides to overturn the victory of the president-elect, Bola Tinubu, Daniel Bwala, an attorney and spokesman for the PDP’s Atiku Abubakar, has explained why the Labour Party’s Peter Obi cannot be proclaimed the winner of the presidential election.

Bwala claimed in an interview with Channels TV that the PDP provided the Labour Party with the majority of the results of the actual votes they received in the election and that the Labour Party lacked agents in many polling places across the nation….. Continue Reading

He claimed that in Lagos, for instance, the Labour Party initially believed it had received the 582,454 votes reported by INEC before the PDP provided proof that it had received more votes. According to the duplicate result sheets that the PDP has, the PDP won the election by a margin of around 4 million votes, he noted.

In a YouTube video that was posted at 17:50, Bwala said:

“Most of the results of the Labour Party, we were the ones that gave it to them. They didn’t have agents in most of the places, we gave them the results in Lagos. Regarding the Lagos result that was announced by INEC, Labour Party was misled into believing that the result was the actual result that they got until we told them they actually got more than the results announced by INEC and it is based on the results that we have.

“When Lagos was announced and we saw their names and their numbers we said that they got more than the numbers announced to them in Lagos. This is a fair play game but let me tell you why Labour Party keeps saying they also won. If you look at the exceptional provision of the electoral act, the only way somebody who didn’t come second will sustain litigation is for you to claim you came first.

“Even the judgement of the court says when you void the votes you will announce the next person who scored the highest vote as the winner, look at the case of Yari. In terms of saying who is the winner, by the time this election is determined based on the duplicate copies of result sheets that we have, we didn’t just defeat APC with a small margin, we defeated APC with a margin of about four million”……
