This follows President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s directive to put the findings into action. Some of the president’s ministers and special advisers were included on the list that Chidi Odinkalu released on his official X handle, along with a twelve-day ultimatum.
Some of the members of the committee include; SGF, Senator George Akume, Attorney General of the Federation, Lateef Fagbemi, Minister of Budget, Senator Atiku Abubakar Bagudu and many others.
However, Chidi Odinkalu has now reacted after seeing the names of the people that the president appointed. In a post that he shared on his page, he said the easiest way to kill the implementation of the Oronsaye report is to give the process an appearance of a sectional agenda.
Prof. Chidi Odinkalu wrote on his page;
“The easiest way to kill the implementation of the Oronsaye report is to give the process an appearance of a sectional agenda. The lop-sided composition of this committee, if it is not re-considered, all but guarantees that”.
