In an AIT interview, Opara questioned the necessity of the 1.5 billion naira allotted to the Office of the First Lady in the previous year’s supplementary budget, particularly given the financial standing of the Tinubu family. He critiqued the allocation, proposing that it could be more effectively directed towards addressing the needs of the less fortunate.

According to Opara, “Madam you said you are rich, that N1.5 billion they gave you what are you going to do with it? To maintain cars and office. Where are you people taking all this money to? People are dying, just go to Wuse, Kubwa, or Asokoro.
