The spokesperson for the Labor Party’s presidential campaign, Kenneth Okonkwo, has expressed unhappiness with the outcome of the governorship race in Enugu State. After a closely contested race against Chijioke Edeoga of the Labor Party, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Peter Mba, was declared the victor on Wednesday by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Okonkwo is adamant that the Labor Party candidate was wrongfully denied a mandate, and that this is why the race was unfairly won. Even though he was disappointed, Okonkwo expressed optimism that the party would be able to bounce back.
