He advised state governors to be vigilant and not allow themselves to be outmaneuvered by Tinubu’s political acumen. He warned against providing openings for Tinubu to capitalize on, especially if governors find themselves in opposition, as Tinubu would be keen on winning states in subsequent elections, showcasing his adept political maneuvering skills.
He said in an interview with Arise TV, ”Bola Tinubu is a nationalist as well as a politician. Anything that can give advantage to APC, Tinubu will grab it and make APC predominant. It is up to you to accept. But don’t give him the opportunity to outsmart you. He’s an extremely smart politician. So maintain your status as a state governor and perform well. Because once you are in opposition, his own said is to take over the state from you in the next election. He’s already planning how to win Rivers state and that is the politician in him.
