Nigerian activist Omoyele Sowore responded to the statement made by the former governor of Anambra state, stating that poverty would not exist in the nation if Nigerian politicians had properly served it. In the post that he made on his official page, he said if Nigeria were to be a sane country, people like the former vice president of Nigeria, Alhaji Waziri Atiku Abubakar, former governor of Kano state, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, former governor of Anambra state, Peter Gregory Obi and president Bola Ahmed Tinubu would not be on the ballot.
Omoyele Sowore wrote on his official X handle;
