This evening, the former presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, Mr Peter Obi, on his verified Twitter handle said that, he just came across a sad, heartbreaking video where some Nasarawa women, staged a topless protest as a means of registering their displeasure with the election results.
Peter Obi claimed that the purpose of the general elections, was for citizens to participate in the democratic governance through the representatives they elect, as he said a grievous injustice occurs, when citizens are denied the opportunity to vote in a free, fair and credible process or their mandate is stolen from them through dubious means….. However, while Mr Bayo Onanuga, who happens to be the spokesperson to the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Chief Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2023 presidential election, he said that it is now clear Peter Obi, is the one instigating and supporting the protesters in the protests against the election results.
Bayo Onanuga claimed that, what the Nigerian Constitution states was that, aggrieved people or person should go to the court of law, if they have enough evidence that, the election was rigged.
He said, “Dear Mr. Peter Obi, it is now clear that you instigate and support all these protests. The rule of law says aggrieved candidates should go to court if they have proof they were rigged out. Don’t make our country anarchic, lawless one. Talk to your supporters.”… Continue Reading
