Former Jigawa State Governor Sule Lamido has discussed the difficulties former President Olusegun Obasanjo encountered in his bid for a second term in office.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

In a live coverage by Daily Trust TV, Lamido said Obasanjo faced opposition from members of his party and from some of his former military colleagues outside the political field. Lamido said that despite Obasanjo’s contributions to Nigeria’s stability, he faced significant humiliation during his attempt for re-election. According to Lamido, Obasanjo was subjected to embarrassing situations and he even had to kneel in a bid to secure his second term.

In Lamido’s words: “Here is somebody who had been used to knit Nigeria, who had been used to restore Nigeria and after having Nigeria restored he was now being denied his own right for a second term.
