Nollywood actor Azeez Ijaduade was struck by a “accidental discharge,” according to police, who explain the shooting incident.

The state police command has stated that Nollywood actor Azeez Ijaduade was hit by a shot that was inadvertently discharged by a police officer during an end-of-year party, as reported in PUNCH, in contrast to earlier allegations of a trigger-happy cop shooting the actor in Iperu Remo, Ogun State. Abiodun Adebanjo, Ijaduade’s colleague, first shared the news of his shooting on Instagram, sparking a need for assistance and the Commissioner’s or Police IG’s contact information.

However, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, explained in an exclusive chat with PUNCH Online that the incident occurred when an officer attached to the executives of Bramajaj Company Limited accidentally discharged a shot during the company’s end-of-year party at a hotel in Iperu.

It was revealed that Ijaduade, along with his crew members and other actors, was present at the hotel for a movie shoot when the accidental discharge occurred, hitting the actor in the neck.

The police clarified that the actor had been rushed to Babcock University Teaching Hospital and was currently responding to treatment.

“The victim is currently in a stable condition,” stated Odutola, emphasizing that the incident was an unfortunate accident rather than a deliberate act of a trigger-happy policeman. CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
