Nigeria’s 2023 Presidential Election Would Stay the Worst in History, Says Peter Obi

Our Backers Will Go To The Streets, According To Obi-Datti Campaign Council

The standard bearer of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, has again described the February 25 presidential election as the worst election in the history of the nation.

Obi said the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) flagrantly abused the 2022 electoral law during the conduct of the election, probably making it the worst election in the country’s existence.

Award nobs reports that the former Governor of Anambra State made these known during an appearance on Arise Television’s Morning Show on Monday.

Obi added that the chairman of INEC, Professor Mahmood Yakubu, failed in his consistent promises that the election was going to be the best thing that will happen to Nigeria.

He said: “If you look at the last election, it is probably the worst election, considering in this particular republic, the 2022 electoral law which was meant to improve our overall election process was abused and continued and consistent promises by the chairman of INEC that this is going to the best thing that will happen to Nigeria.”

The former Anambra State Governor has already contested the outcome of the election by filing suit at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal.
