In a report that THE CABLE shared on its official X handle on Tuesday, the U.S. Mission in Nigeria has praised the people of Edo State for conducting peaceful gubernatorial elections on September 21.

In a statement, they commended the citizens for their calm and orderly behavior during the polls, which is a testament to Nigeria’s commitment to democracy.

The U.S. Mission also applauded Governor Obaseki’s appeal for peace, urging all stakeholders, including the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), to respect established electoral processes and legal procedures for challenging results.
