As the student loan scheme was rolled out by the Federal government to ease financial burdens on students, a lot of high expectations was generated amongst the populace. However, the inability of students in Southeastern tertiary institutions to benefit from this scheme drew a lot of raised eyebrows from the general public. In light of this, the CEO of NELFUND, Akintunde Sawyer came out in a recent video which has caught the attention of the general public to publicly explain the reasons why students from the southeast did not benefit from it. Sharing the the video on his official social media handle, X the Presidential Aide and Spokesman to the President, Bayo Onanuga captioned, “NELFUND CEO Akintunde Sawyer explains why no South East tertiary institutions have not benefited from the programme.”
