He said in an interview with Channels TV, ”The point is that was there any agreement that this particular budget should be re-presented to the house? And if there is an agreement. Why is the governor afraid of re-presenting the budget, they cannot stop the budget. I think there is the issue of ego and his advisers trying to come in between them.
They should bury their ego and differences and look at the helpless people of Rivers State who are learning for good governance. This lingering crisis is unnecessary and I’m sure the President must be disappointed. Because he thought he had resolved the issue for them. But we are still going back and forth on the matter.”
The Rivers State Governor, Sir Sim Fubara had warned that he would surprise those who consider his honest decision to implement the Presidential peace pact as a sign of weakness.
Fubara said he had been inundated with several comments in the media about the implementation of the peace initiative and had chosen to be silent out of maturity and wisdom.
