The 29-year-old has accepted a salary of £20m to join Cristiano Ronaldo at the Saudi Pro League club.
Laporte joined City in 2018, but has recently seen his playing time reduced, after Pep Guardiola signed Manuel Akanji from Borussia Dortmund.
Last season, the Spaniard only played 12 Premier League fixtures.
