Dessers arrived at Ibrox Stadium from Italian club Cremonese last month. The 28-year-old came in with a big reputation, having emerged as the top scorer in the UEFA Europa Conference League two seasons ago.
The forward has, however, struggled to settle down well in his new environment and has been constantly criticised by the club’s faithful for his indifferent performance.
Dessers, however, put on a superb display in Rangers’ 2-2 draw against PSV Eindhoven on Tuesday.
The former Genk striker earned plaudits for his performance, and Balogun has backed him to make a big impact at the club.
“It’s not easy to come here; all the new lads realise that. You don’t get time to adapt here. The players and staff are doing a great job,” Balogun told a press conference on Friday.
“We can now see more and more of Dessers’ game; his pass for the goal was world-class, and we look forward to seeing more of that.”…… Continue Your Reading
