In his account, he went to a hotel where Atiku Abubakar and Muhammadu Buhari were organizing a meeting that was supposed to cause trouble in Nigeria. In an interview with a journalist on Arise Television, Lawrence Alobi stated, “I once stopped Atiku Abubakar and Muhammadu Buhari from meeting due to public safety. I went straight to Muhammadu Buhari and said that this meeting cannot hold.””Muhammadu Buhari asked why the meeting cannot hold, and I told him that I am the commissioner of FCT and I am here to obey the law.”
