According to the report by The Sun Newspaper on Sunday, the incident, which occurred at Opobo Junction in the Ogbor Hill axis, had claimed the lives of two policemen and left two others wounded.

Governor Otti, who visited the victims’ families and the hospitals where the wounded officers are receiving treatment, described the attack as “unfortunate” and vowed to fish out the perpetrators.

He expressed regret that the incident occurred just a few weeks after a similar attack on soldiers in the same Ogbor Hill area.

Otti assured that his government would change its strategy to deal with the situation and ensure that those responsible are brought to book.

While acknowledging that it is reasonable to suspect that enemies of the state may be involved, he said that the government will not speculate but rather take concrete actions to address the situation.

Speaking further, he disclosed that they have decided to change strategy.

He said, “We thought that with all that we have done, including rounding up some of the people who were involved in that last attack, that this would not happen again.

“We have decided to change strategy. We do not want to speculate, but like you (journalists) rightly asked, it is reasonable to suspect that the enemies of the state, particularly those who don’t seem to see any good or want any good for Abia people, maybe somehow connected to this. That’s a suspicion.

“We are not going to let this go away without identifying and bringing to book all those who are directly or remotely involved.”CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
