Victor Kolade Akinjo, a PDP stalwart, has been appointed by President Tinubu as a board member of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) representing Ondo state. Akinjo is no stranger to the corridors of power; he previously held the position of the House of Representatives Member for Ilaje/Ese-Odo Federal Constituency between 2015 and 2023. However, his bid for a third term was thwarted when he was defeated by APC’s Ojogo.
This series of appointments underscores President Tinubu’s commitment to fostering national unity and bridging the partisan divide. Apart from Wike and Akinjo, it’s noteworthy that Tinubu has also appointed Adebayo Adelabu from the Accord Party and Tahir Mamman, a close ally of Peter Obi’s running mate, as the Minister of Education.
