Nigerian filmmaker cum politician, Desmond Elliot, has cleared the air on the construction of a wooden bridge otherwise known as ‘pako bridge’ for residents in his constituency.
The actor gave the clarification during an interview on TVC’s Your View show when questioned about the popular wooden bridge with his photo attached to it.

However, Desmond said he visited the area to sympathize with a mother who had lost her 13-year-old daughter in a canal.
According to him, while on their way to retrieve the girl’s corpse in Shitta, the bridge that crossed over the canal was very fragile and the residents pleaded with him to help them reconstruct it.
The thespian said he gave the community N800,000 for the bridge and they eventually reached out to him and insisted on fixing his picture on the bridge to show how grateful they were.

Desmond Elliot Donates Several Transformers
Meanwhile, Desmond Elliot has donated several electricity transformers to his constituency ahead of the election scheduled for Saturday, March 18th.
The two-term incumbent lawmaker, who is running for a third bid in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Surulere Constituency, took to his social media on Thursday to disclose that he commissioned the installment of the high-capacity transformers in Surulere to bring reliable electricity to communities.
