Ireti Kingibe: Ireti Kingibe, a senator-elect for the Labour Party, has credited the Obidient Movement, which has swept the nation, for her remarkable win in the senate elections held by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) a fortnight ago.

Kingibe reiterated that her triumph would not have been possible without the army of Labour Party followers known as the Obidients, speaking to Charles Aniagolu on Thursday night’s episode of ARISE TV’s “Prime Time” show.

“There is absolutely no doubt that the Obidients helped me to win. Abuja was completely Obidient right from the beginning. And I must say that the Movement also came to look for me to be their senatorial candidate, so I must have reflected some of their ideals or else they wouldn’t have done so.

I believe so much in the Obidient Movement and I think Nigeria needs it. Now, whether we can achieve everything in 2023, needs to be seen. But it is certainly a movement that will continue to grow and I will certainly make sure to build on it in the FCT. There’s no doubt about that.”…
