The founder of Living Faith Church, Bishop David Oyedepo, has cautioned his flock against leaving their country unless they have received sufficient guidance from God. During his sermon at the weekly communion session, he issued this warning.
He asserts that a person will remain in poverty even if they relocate to a developed nation if they do not seek protection in the covenant of God for financial prosperity. “There is no rich country without poor people, and there is no poor country without rich people,” he said. “If they show you some pictures of America, you will say America is not a rich country. If you take cover in the covenant, you will prosper anywhere you are.”
“A lazy man will remain poor whether he is in Nigeria or America. A fraudster will not experience prosperity in any country because the curse of the Lord is in the house of a thief. It’s not about the country you live in; it is about how strong you are in the covenant,” he said…
