A 27-year-old Chibok woman named Mary Nkeki was rescued by Operation Hadin Kai Theatre Command troops. Last week on Monday, she was rescued. Maj. Gen. Gold Chibuisi, the operation’s commander, revealed that Mary is the 55th kidnapped Chibok girl on the list. Mary was saved, treated for her injuries, and will now be turned over to Borno state’s authorities.
When Mary spoke with reporters, she disclosed that she and her husband Adam, a Boko Haram member, had two daughters. She said that she is already married to Adam and that they managed to escape from captivity when asked if she planned to get married again. Mary and Adam were freed by the army from the terrorists’ organization. After that, though, they were split up, and Adam was brought to a camp for ex-insurgents.
