African musicians who are excelling at their trade, including Ghana’s Quamina MP, have recently received special shout-outs from American rapper Rick Ross.
Quamina MP revealed his enthusiasm when he learnt that Rick Ross gave him a shout out. He said on the Cape Coast based Kastle FM.
“I was really excited when I heard Rick Ross giving me a shout because I used to listen to his songs way back and for such a big artiste to mention my name then it’s huge,”
The popular song “Kwaku The Traveller” by Black Sherif has received yet another recommendation from American DJ, record executive, author, and music producer DJ Khaled on his Instagram page.
In response to these significant endorsements, Ghanaian musician Quamina MP said that the overseas artists’ actions demonstrated how much better and bigger Ghanaian music is becoming every day.
“Things are getting better and better everyday because these days you hear that a lot of big artistes like Chance the Rapper and Kendrick Lamar are coming to Ghana,”
He told Amansan Krakye “Small time everyone will hear of Ghana music and recently I saw that DJ Khaled has posted Black Sherif and I felt we’re getting bigger every single day so we hope and pray”.
