Speaking to Vanguard from a cell of Lagos State Police Command Tactical Unit, Ikeja, the suspect said that on the day of the incident, the deceased, who he admitted he had known in church for over three years, came to his house so he could fix her faulty phone for her.
According to him, both of their mothers were friends and he had fixed the phone for her before.
The suspect confessed that he killed the victim because he had financial issues.
On how he killed her, he said he strangled her while she was lost in concentration going through his phone.
“I killed her because I had financial problems. I thought of the problems and decided to strangle her while she was busy going through my phone. I then called her mother claiming that she was kidnapped and she should pay ransom. I didn’t really pounce on her. She was preoccupied with my own phone. Then, it was drizzling, and a little noisy, so, I just grabbed her, applied pressure. She started struggling. She didn’t really shout because I already suppressed her. I then squeezed her throat and she gave up.”
According to him, after killing her, he placed her body on a seat and took a picture of her which he later sent to her mother as proof that she had kidnapped her.
He added that although he committed the act at about 5:30 p.m., he only disposed of the body at about 5 a.m. the following day in a grave he dug in a small farm behind his compound.
After burying the lady, he then contacted the girl’s mother using her mobile mother.
According to him, after breaking the news that he had kidnapped the girl to her mother and demanding a N3 million ransom for her release, the mother said she had no money.
He then told the woman to being whatever she could afford. The woman eventually paid N350, 000.00 to a Sporty bet account he gave her. He later got the victim’s mother to send another N10, 000.00 to him.
He said he used the money to take care of personal family financial needs.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
