The victim revealed in an interview with Silverbird TV that the robbers had demanded a ransom to free her and her two children, and that when her husband and his friend showed up with the required sum, they were taken prisoner without warning. When she offered leaving with her two children while her husband remained in captivity, she claimed she was severely assaulted and forced to take only one child. She said she was then told to collect yet another ransom to ensure their release. She added that the robbers had cruelly advised her to sell her house and all she owned in order to get the money.
