British rapper and music producer Joseph Olaitan Adenuga junior, better known by his stage name, Skepta, has reacted to controversial Nigerian singer Portable’s constant dragging of his collaborators.
Over the years, Portable has become well-known for dragging people he has collaborated with. From Asake to Davido, Olamide, Poco Lee and more. Just recently, he dragged Asake following his Grammy award loss as he called out Olamide for helping Asake rather than him.
Reacting to it, Skepta Skepta who has been trending on Twitter, stated that he is waiting for Portable to drag him too.
“Why am I trending? Lol.
I’ve just seen Portable dragging somebody again. Apparently, I’m next. We dey wait lol”.
In January, Skepta had sung the praises of Portable. In a series of tweets, he revealed that he has met many fake guys in the industry, but meeting Portable was refreshing. He stated that he recognizes whatever Portable does to stay relevant, which includes dropping daily snippets, jumping gates, walking the street with bank statements, and more.
He made it known that though he might not follow his tactics, he, however, knows Portable’s energy and recognizes it.
This came after Portable, had appreciated Skepta, as he revealed that he got credited with a huge amount of money as part of his royalties from their hit song, Tony Montana. He praised the British rapper for not ripping him as he expressed gratitude to him.
Kemi Filani reported in December, 2023, that Portable formed an alias with British rapper, Skepta and they attended the British Fashion Award in London. He had even run into Tiwa Savãge and Damson Idris at the event.
Following the link up, Portable announced that he now charges 10k in dollars for featuring in both shows, music videos, and skits, noting how he is a child of grace.
