In reaction to a recent declaration from a Northern group advocating for the elimination of rotational presidency, he made this statement.
While speaking in Yola, Adamawa State, a group known as Arewa New Agenda (ANA) had taken a stance against rotational presidency.
While addressing newsmen, the President of the group, Senator Ahmad Abubakar MoAllahyidi had claimed that despite the numbers that the North had to determine the political direction and leadership in the country, the Northern region was shortchanged by President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
During a recent interview with the Sun, Vatsa said that one of the major challenges being faced in the country is lack of justice, equity and fairness.
He said, “Lack of equity, justice and fairness remain the major challenges facing this country as a country.
“Let us look at this critically, look at the Presidents from the military to civilians that have ruled Nigeria from the Northern extraction, has it translated to anything? Has poverty left the North? Even if you give them presidency tomorrow, the North as a region will still be poor because the leaders are stealing the money and keeping in their individual pockets.” CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
