Furthermore, Farotimi mentions that while Gowon was not in power during the Festac festival, his tenure saw the commencement of its planning phase.
He said, “The youngest man to ever be Nigeria’s president, Gowon, once said the only problem Nigeria has is Nigeria doesn’t know what to do with money. This was at a time when we didn’t have a national grid.
