Government of Ondo Calls on Labor to Remain Calm

The Ondo State Government has called on the striking workers of the organised labour union to be calm and peaceful while exercising their civil rights as the indefinite strike action entered day two. CONTINUE READING>>>>>

The State Head of Service, Mr. Kayode Ogundele, appealed to the state workers in a statement disclosed earlier today.

He added that the strike by the leaders of the labour unions across the nation is affecting the state.

The statement reads:

“While we are not averse to the right of the union to exercise their right to protest against perceived unwanted policies, it is our wish that the protest should be given a human face so as not to ground government business.

We appreciate the NLC and TUC for emphasising that the protest is not targeted at the Ondo State Government/Labour harmonious relationship and the gains achieved so far. Based on this, we wish to enjoin labour to remain civil and peaceful such that critical business of government can go on during the protest.

Workers, particularly senior ones who may wish to render their services should not be hindered in the overall interest of the state”.…… Continue Your Reading
