Vanguard reported that this news came during a special gathering held at the Government House Banquet Hall in Port Harcourt. This replacement is a result of the political friction that still exists between Chief Nyesom Wike and his successor, Governor Fubara.

Fubara nominated Chief Sergeant Awuse to succeed His Royal Majesty King Dandeson Douglas Jaja as chairman just before he left office.

The State House of Assembly, under the direction of Martin Amaewhule, responded to these problems by passing a statute that forbade the governor from meddling in the council’s governance.

In response to Awuse’s lack of activity, Governor Fubara stated, “It is like your chairman has run away. Maybe when your chairman is ready, he will write to me. If he gets approval, he can then come for the meeting.”

“But you already know his position. He is not a stable man; he is not a stable character. He cannot say something in the morning and say another thing in the evening.”

“It was because of this that he decided to hide his head. You have to bear with him until God helps us remove this problem you are having. By the grace of God, it will be resolved soon.”CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
