The young man, whose name was given as Precious Ojo, also known as Obago, was arrested by the operatives of the Benin zonal command of the anti graft commission following a petition received from a United States of America citizen on his fraudulent activities.

It was gathered that the petitioner had alleged that the young man impersonated one Raymond Bush who works in the US Treasury Department to defraud her of $268,000 through an alleged romance scam. Incidentally, he was arrested while relaxing inside the said hotel.

According to a statement by the EFCC on its Facebook wall on Wednesday, during investigation, he was said to have confessed using the money he collected from the American lady to build the said hotel and bought a Mercedes Benz with customised number plate, which was also recovered from him.
The statement added that he would be arraigned in court at the conclusion of the investigation.
