It was the end of the road for an internet fraudster popularly known as Yahoo Boy who was said to have duped an American of the sum of $268,000 and used the proceed of the fraud to build a hotel in Delta State as he has been arrested by the operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC).Continue Reading>>>

The young man, whose name was given as Precious Ojo, also known as Obago, was arrested by the operatives of the Benin zonal command of the anti graft commission following a petition received from a United States of America citizen on his fraudulent activities.

It was gathered that the petitioner had alleged that the young man impersonated one Raymond Bush who works in the US Treasury Department to defraud her of $268,000 through an alleged romance scam. Incidentally, he was arrested while relaxing inside the said hotel.

(Caption): The premises of the hotel and the car said to have been bought with the money, as posted by the EFCC.

According to a statement by the EFCC on its Facebook wall on Wednesday, during investigation, he was said to have confessed using the money he collected from the American lady to build the said hotel and bought a Mercedes Benz with customised number plate, which was also recovered from him.

The statement added that he would be arraigned in court at the conclusion of the investigation.
