Finally, Peseiro accepts pay reduction and renews NFF contractsee the coach's new wage

After months of speculation, Jose Peseiro will continue as the Super Eagles coach after he agreed to pay cut, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) have announced with the mandate to take Super Eagles to the semi finals of AFCON in Cote D’Ivoire next year. CONTINUE READING>>>>>

In a statement Sunday, the NFF said Portuguese coach Peseiro has now agreed to continue in the role after accepting a pay cut on his earlier terms, with the new agreement also putting him in charge of the Super Eagles B – the home-based professionals, who contest the biennial African Nations Championship.

His initial contract paid him $70,000 a month, but it is understood the new agreement will have his monthly pay at $50,000.

He has therefore been handed the mandate to lead the Super Eagles to, in the minimum, the semifinals of the 34th Africa Cup of Nations finals taking place in Cote d’Ivoire in a few months.

Peseiro has steered the Super Eagles through the qualifiers and to a ticket with a match to spare, including a 10-0 record international win against Sao Tome and Principe in Agadir, Morocco, in June 2022.…… Continue Your Reading
