Femi Falana tells LG Chairmen, Reveals Their Only Advantage "The Law Says Thou Shall Spend 3 years"Local government chairmen have received advice from renowned attorney Femi Falana to observe term limits and get ready for new elections. He stressed that attempting to extend their terms is unconstitutional and futile. Falana revealed that he cannot speak more on the issue of the local government chairmen and the 27 lawmakers who defected because the matter is already before the court of law.

Falana also criticised the Rivers State government for their decision to appoint a caretaker committee to take charge of the local governments.
