Raheem Sterling put in a standout display, scoring two beautiful goals, and helping Chelsea earn their first Premier League victory under Mauricio Pochettino’s leadership. At Stamford Bridge, the team defeated Luton Town with ease, winning 3-0.

The Blues established their superiority right away, with Moises Caicedo, who set a British record in his signing, making his debut. Before finally scoring after 17 minutes, Sterling came close to scoring twice more.

England’s Raheem Sterling expertly avoided three challenges on the right side of the penalty box. He finished off a great solo effort by gently putting a low shot into the far corner of the net with finesse and accuracy.

Since their opening-weekend defeat by Brighton, Luton made their first appearance. They failed to pull off an upset, though, as Chelsea continued to control the match after the break. Nicolas Jackson, Ben Chilwell, and Enzo Fernandez all had chances to succeed but were unable to do so. In the 68th minute, Raheem Sterling added another goal by directing Malo Gusto’s cross into the goal. A few minutes later, Jackson, a summer acquisition, secured the victory with his debut goal for the team off of a superb cross from Sterling.

Ahead of the weekend’s matches, the victory moves Chelsea up to seventh place in the standings. Since its return to the Premier League, Luton has lost badly in both of its games, placing them at the bottom of the standings.

Following that, on Tuesday night, Luton will compete in the EFL Cup against Gillingham, and on Wednesday night, Chelsea will compete in the same competition against AFC Wimbledon.
