According to Mr. Nze who appeared in an interview on AIT this afternoon, the water being released from the day is up to 20 million cubic metres per day for the first 10 days and after the 24th of August, the spillage was reduced to 5 million cubic metres per day.
In his own words as seen on AIT this afternoon….
“I commenced dialogue with Cameroon a few weeks ago and I was able to get in touch with the hydrologists of the dam in Cameroon. He told me that they opened the dam by 10:10am, on the 14th of August. So they’ve already opened it and it’s releasing water at about 200,000 cubic metres per day, which is up to 20 million cubic metres per day. And this has been happening since the 14th of August. So a few weeks later, I got told that they have reduced the amount of spillage from the dam to about 5 million cubic metres per day as at the 24th of August.” CONTINUE READING>>>>>
