Sources tell Kemi Filani News that the names include Salisu Yusuf, Finidi George and Austin Eguavoen.
One of them will be appointed to take charge of the AFCON qualifier against Sao Tome in September, if Jose Peseiro’s contract issue is not resolved before the game.
Eguavoen, who hold the role of NFF Technical Director, will be responsible for the invitation of Super Eagles players for the fixture.
“The NFF Executives are considering a lot of factors and they will meet next week in Abuja to decide who will lead the team as the head coach for the game.
“Peseiro’s contract extension looks uncertain for now.
“A section of the NFF Executives are against Eguaveon, while the Secretariat preferred Eguaveon.
“The Northern caucus are pushing for Salisu.
“A strong Executive member is pushing for Finidi.
