Afegbua said that despite claims that the APC is not strong in the state, the party currently holds a significant number of political positions. He said out of nine seats in the House of Representatives from Edo State, seven belong to the APC, one to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and one to the Labour Party (LP). He also said out of the three senatorial seats, the APC holds two, while the LP has one, and the PDP has none.
Afegbua said that these positions represent the political influence and relevance of the APC within the state.
